2011 Phillip Island Pack Fodder

Phillip Island Teams Race,  May 7, 2011

Wasn’t really sure what to expect when I agreed to be in the SystemicLogic 6amers team for the Phillip Island Teams Race. I have raced the circuit before but that was in the 17lap club race hosted by CCCC. My memory and the stories of past Teams race suggest that it could be a short race for some and that not many actually go the entire distance.

The winner of B-grade was a chap from Warragul named Darryl Anderson (no relation) who broke away on the start of the 2nd lap and we didn’t get to see him again until they were handing out the envelopes.  Great ride by him who was able to stay off the front for the best part of 16 laps.  Trent Brown did bridge across to him early on however he was only able to hold his wheel for half a lap.
